Stucco

Dinner at Chili's with what is left of our gang. Mary is my dear friend with breast cancer. She gave Rylee and Jermey Magic bullets for graduation/birthday presents. I love her!

We now have stucco on the house. Soon it will be painted.

Wisdom Teeth - Make up

I shouldn't be doing this, but I think only my parents look at this blog and they have already seen this. This is right after Rylee had her wisdom teeth pulled and she wants to check her make up before I start videoing her. Prior to this, she was talking like a drunken sailor. Funny and disconcerting at the same time.

Wisdom Teeth - "John Travolta"

She is trying to say that John Travolta is gay after she sings "I've Got Chills" from Greece.

Rylee after her wisdom teeth are removed

My sides hurt from laughing so hard everytime I watch this.

Gunnar taking care of Rylee

This is Mr. Gunnar taking care of our patient. So cute!

Sleepy time

This is Rylee in the car after we dropped Kim of at the airport.

Wake up birthday girl

Sorry it is so dark. She is in bed and we woke her up before we had to take Kim to the airport.

PS. You will have to pause the playlist (sidebar) to hear this.

Blow out the candles

Excuse the singing.

MOA for Tiger Sushi

Rylee wanted sushi for her birthday partly because she love sushi and partly because it is soft food and she is still a little tender after having her wisdom teeth pulled last Tuesday. She looks really good. Just a little puffiness.

She is how old?!

Cheers to the birthday girl!

Dessert. Yum!

Framework

Remind me never to do this again!!! Building a home from long distance, not easy or fun. A few weeks ago, I tried to skype with Kim and the design center on flooring, granite, stone, etc. This process did not work very well trying to make such difficult and important decisions via the Internet. This process left my marriage dangling by a thread. After all, how can a girl be expected to pick out such things without actually touching and visualizing first hand? So, we planned a trip out to So Cal so I could do just that. Viewing all these options proved to be just as taxing and left us both exhausted. But at least it is now done. I am most excited about my corn carpet. What is corn carpet you ask? Well, it is just that. Carpet made out of corn. You can pour bleach, red wine you name and no stain. This is good because I want white carpeting and with a Lab... need I say more? It is also the softest carpet I have ever felt. I still have to pick out a fridge and a new washer and dryer. However, I think that will be a little easier and I actually get a little thrilled when I see commercials for these appliances.

Rylee has her grad party on Saturday and so we are trying to get everything ready for that. She has really been so remarkable. She has been helping me do everything in addition to getting herself ready for college. I have no doubt she will be successful as she starts out on her own.

Best picture EVER!

I cannot not take credit for this one. My friend Teri or Teresa's mom (see earlier post)took it. I love it. She is such a beauty.

A new chapter begins...

Rylee graduated from Blaine on Tuesday night. The temp was a cool 102 degrees and the wind was practically to tornado stages (not really, but it was strong winds). Rylee looked so great and confident as she walked to the podium and accepted her diploma. It was a proud moment for me and also, a bit sad.

Rylee, is ready to move on. She is looking forward to her future in college with anxious excitment and tiny bit of fear. She is a wonderful young woman and we could not be more proud.

WAY TO GO RYLEE!

ONWARD AND UPWARD!

After graduation. Rylee is getting ready to board the bus for the all night party.
Rylee and her best friend since middle school, Megan Bauer
Rylee, Kali and Terresa. Terresa and Rylee have been friends since that were practically babies.
